VECCHI: "WE WANTED A BIG PERFORMANCE"

Primavera coach reacts to Inter's win over Pisa: "We're here to progress and work on our shortcomings. I'm pleaed for the lads"

SESTO SAN GIOVANNI - Stefano Vecchi spoke to Sportitalia after watching his Inter Primavera side rout Pisa 8-1 at the Stadio Breda.

"Besides the result, we put in an excellent display," said the coach. "We wanted to put in a big performance and not assume we were going to win. Lots of players scored and I'm pleased for the guys that don't tend to get a lot of game time."

The coach also agreed that Inter's strength in depth is a real asset: "It's always nice to have selection headaches. We are very well stocked in certain areas of the pitch. We're here to progress and iron out our shortcomings."

Finally, he praised the ability of Pinamonti: "He has everything it takes to do well. Besides his technical ability, he always trains at 100%. His results are the product of the work he's doing during the week. You need maturity to play in the first team - he's still very young, he's only 17."
