CAGLIARI – Massimo Rastelli says his side will have to play “the perfect game” against Inter if they're to come away from San Siro with a result on Sunday.
Cagliari have made a solid start to the Serie A campaign after winning the Serie B title last season and go into Week 8 just a point below Inter, but their manager is expecting a stern test at the Meazza.
"Inter are a great team – right up there on a par with Juventus – so we're going to have to play the perfect game. They've brought in a new coach so you expect a few ups and downs," the Rossoblu coach said at a media conference in Sardinia on the eve of the match.
"Ten points is a decent haul for us so far but we can and must play better."
Rastelli also singled out some of the players he sees as the Nerazzurri dangermen.
"Inter have some top-class players like [Ivan] Perisic – he gives them great width. Then they have people like Joao Mario and [Ever] Banega who are very hard to pick up."
The Cagliari boss has named a 21-man travelling party for the 15:00 CEST kick-off on Sunday.
