DE BOER: "INTERNATIONAL BREAK HAS DONE US GOOD"

Coach speaking at Infiniti event: "We must give 100% in every single game, starting with Cagliari. We've done a lot of good work during the break"

MILAN – Frank de Boer feels Inter are in a better position after the international break than they were before it.

The coach has been shorn of almost a dozen players for the last week and a half but believes the work on the training ground with those who stayed behind will stand the team in good stead going into another period of congested fixtures.

"We must give 100% in every single game and that goes for Cagliari too. I'm very confident – that's part of my nature,” he told the media at Centro Infiniti Milano.

“We've done a lot of good work during the break. All the players are looking good and now we'll have the internationals back too.”

Quizzed as to whether Marcelo Brozovic and Geoffrey Kondogbia might play on Sunday, the coach replied: “I don't know yet but they're both important players. Marcelo is quality; he just needs to make sure he trains the right way.

On Inter's title chances: “What matters to me is we try to win every game, then we'll see where we are come March.”

Napoli and Roma, two of Inter's Serie A rivals, are set to lock horns on Saturday afternoon. Will De Boer be watching? “I'll gladly watch any game where there's quality football on display.”
