MILAN – Riccardo Ferri has been reflecting on Inter's start to the season, while also casting an eye forward to the upcoming fixture against Cagliari at San Siro.
"It's a big game on Sunday afternoon," said Inter's defensive stalwart of the 1980s and early 1990s. "We need to pick up points in order to recover lost ground.
"There are a lot of excellent players with international experience in the squad," Ferri added. "You can see they're getting better with every game. The players have to believe in themselves because the league table at the moment doesn't reflect the quality at the club."
Ferri also commented on Mauro Icardi's current form: "Not only is he in a rich vein of form, he's also the spokesperson in the squad. He's understood that he can become a leader at Inter and be a role model on and off the pitch."
