MILAN - Mauro Icardi reaffirmed his delight to be a part of Inter and his hunger for silverware after signing a new five-year contract today.
Speaking to Inter Channel shortly after putting pen to paper on his new deal, the club captain said: "I'm really happy to have signed a new contract because it's what I wanted.
"I wanted to stay at Inter and we came to an agreement with the club. I've never been worried about it. I've always got along with everyone around me."
Icardi now aims to try and maintain his impressive goals-to-games ratio while picking up a few winner's medals.
"It won't be easy but I hope to lift lots of trophies with Inter. I'd also like to say a special thank you to my family and my wife."
