INTER PRIMAVERA BEATEN BY ROMA

The Nerazzurri’s three-match winning streak came to an end on Sunday after Marchizza and Frattesi secured a 2-0 win for the Giallorossi

ROME – Stefano Vecchi’s Inter Primavera side slipped to their first defeat of the season on Sunday after they were beaten 2-0 by Roma.

The Giallorossi took the lead on 12 minutes, Marchizza firing home from the penalty spot after Vanheusden was adjudged to have handled the ball in the box.

But there was a blow coming for Alberto De Rossi’s men as Soleri was shown a straight red for an elbow on Vanheusden, leaving the Giallorossi with ten men in the 33rd minute.

Yet the Nerazzurri were unable to make the advantage pay, despite creating a number of chances. Inter received two red cards of their own in the closing stages of the second half, Awua and Piscopo the players sent from the field.

Roma then did what Inter couldn’t in capitalising on the sendings off as Frattesi made it 2-0 in the second minute of added time following a Giallorossi break.
