AUSILIO: "HARD WORK BRINGS RESULTS"

The Nerazzurri sporting director on Inter's new-found look: "This project needs time and patience. Gabigol needs to get to know Italian football"

MILAN Piero Ausilio offered his thoughts just before kick-off in Inter v Bologna.

"Injuries are always unexpected, but the guys who have come in will do well because they have experience. I'm not worried, it's just a shame to have them ruled out not for technical reasons.

"We need to be consistent in our results and performances, in terms of quality and our development. Working hard usually brings results.

"Gabigol needs time to get used to Italian football, as well as more work with Frank de Boer and his team-mates. He's got a great attitude to his job, he wants to learn. We're delighted with his ability, he's capable of playing anywhere in our forward line. His attributes are different from the rest of the squad; it's De Boer's task to work out how to use him.

"Anyone who has started a project like this needs to be given time and patience. The coach hasn't been here for long but we're beginning to see an identity in the team. Results are also linked to other factors."

Ausilio wrapped up with a comment on transfer possibilities: "I've got work to do, but the week-to-week work with the squad is the most important thing right now."
