MILAN – Davide Santon believes Inter were well deserving of their win over Juventus on Sunday night.
"I gave everything out there tonight,” Santon told Inter Channel after the game. "I came off because I had cramp and didn’t want the team to have to carry me.
"You saw the real Inter tonight. Pressing your opponents pays off – Juventus make mistakes too.
"It was a tough summer but I’ve always give everything for this team. It was really important to do well tonight after the result on Thursday. The boss helped us a lot and we’d prepared well – you saw the fruit of that on the pitch," declared Santon.
The Italian full-back made it clear Inter had to keep their focus up ahead of the first midweek round of the season.
"We have another match on Wednesday and we need to make sure we’re ready for it."
