MILAN – Ever Banega hailed the San Siro faithful after their cheered Inter to a 2-1 defeat of Juventus on Sunday night.
"The fans were amazing," the Nerazzurri schemer told Inter Channel after the game. "They really helped us and there was a great atmosphere. The team stood up to the plate tonight – we produced a fantastic performance.
"Our mentality was key. That’s why we were able to turn the match around."
Banega also reserved special praise for his compatriot Mauro Icardi.
"It’s a pleasure to play with him," said Banega. "We’re all working together to achieve our objectives."
