AUSILIO: "WE’RE ALL BEHIND OUR COACH"

"We need to quickly move on from Thursday’s match. It’ll be different tonight," the Inter sporting director told Mediaset Premium before kick-off

MILAN – Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has said the whole club is right behind coach Frank de Boer going into Sunday’s Derby d’Italia.

"We have to defend and support De Boer in the difficult times," Ausilio told Mediaset Premium. "We have lots of new players and the coach hasn’t had much time to work with them. He only had one day with the international contingent before the Pescara match."

Ausilio then looked ahead to the mouth-watering action to come at San Siro.

"This is Inter v Juventus and we need to take the game to them. It’s important we move on from Thursday’s match – this is Serie A. We know what we want to do and we believe in that. Time is a precious commodity in Italy, but we believe in this project and we need to give it time and have patience. We’re all behind our coach," said Ausilio.

"We achieved the success of 2010 after a journey made up of different coaches and different projects. Our objective is the same as it always has been – it’s never easy when there are changes. That’s not an excuse, but when change happens you have to review things and work hard," he continued.

Finally, Ausilio said a few words about the Marcelo Brozovic situation.

"There are rules at every club and they must be respected, just like in Brozovic’s case."
