TURIN – Massimiliano Allegri believes Sunday’s Derby d’Italia could have an important bearing on the Serie A title race.
"I think tomorrow’s game is an important match for us and to get the win would be a great result," said the Juventus boss in his pre-match press conference on Saturday.
Asked whether Juventus were favourites to beat Inter, Allegri replied: "We know that the Inter we saw on Thursday and against Pescara is not the real Inter. San Siro will be packed and they’ll be looking to bounce back."
Allegri also gave a few hints as to how the Bianconeri will line up on Sunday: "The only player who’s definitely starting is [Stephan] Lichtsteiner. We’ll play with three at the back."
The Juventus boss has named a 22-man for the big game:
1 Buffon, 3 Chiellini, 4 Benatia, 5 Pjanic, 6 Khedira, 7 Cuadrado, 9 Higuain, 11 Hernanes, 12 Alex Sandro, 15 Barzagli, 17 Mandzukic, 18 Lemina, 19 Bonucci, 20 Pjaca, 21 Dybala, 22 Asamoah, 23 Dani Alves, 24 Rugani, 25 Neto, 26 Lichtsteiner, 32 Audero, 33 Evra.
