ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT INTER V HAPOEL

We’ve teamed up with Opta to bring you the key stats on yesterday’s Europa League Matchday 1 clash at San Siro

MILAN – In collaboration with Opta, we bring you the need-to-know stats on Inter’s 2-0 Europa League defeat to Hapoel Be’er Sheva at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Thursday night.

Inter have kept a clean sheet in only one of their last five European games.

Inter have shipped seven goals in their last three games in Europe – they had conceded six in their previous 11 before Hapoel.

Inter have gone behind in each of the four games they’ve played this season. It’s happened three times in Serie A and once in the Europa League – the team have won one, drawn one and lost two of those games.

Inter had never lost the first game of a Europa League group stage until last night. They drew with Rubin Kazan in 2012 and beat Dnipro in 2014.

Inter have now lost three consecutive European games – a first since September 2011.

Only three of Inter’s 20 attempted shots against Hapoel hit the target.

Hapoel had six shots on target from a total of 15 shots attempted.

Eder attempted more shots than any other Inter player on Thursday night, but none hit the target.

Inter are the only Italian team to lose on Matchday 1 in Europe this season, counting both the Champions League and Europa League.
