MILAN – Eder believes Inter failed to react as required after going a goal down to Hapoel Be’er Sheva in their Europa League Matchday 1 clash at San Siro on Thursday night.
"We showed no reaction after their goal – our focus dropped," said the Nerazzurri striker after the final whistle. "We had chances in the first half but we couldn’t take them. It’s a tough defeat and a shame after Pescara because another positive result would have given us extra confidence.
"We need to keep working hard. They were in better shape than us. They’ve played the Champions League qualifiers but we struggled and now we need to put the hard yards in, figure out where we’re going wrong and try to improve in our next match."
The No.23 was also keen to dispel suggestions the side had one eye on Juventus on Sunday.
"No, we’re professionals and we were focused on the match. We didn’t perform well but all that’s just media talk."
