ICARDI: "FOCUSED ON THE EUROPA LEAGUE"

The Nerazzurri captain praised the team's performance when he spoke to Inter Channel and focused attention on Thursday's European tie

PESCARA - Mauro Icardi, whose brace earned Inter a win over Pescara at the Stadio Adriatico, spoke to Inter Channel about the contest.

"I didn't see the first goal because I was battling with the defender. I heard the fans cheer and then I realised. For the second goal I found myself in the right spot and strikers need to make the most of those opportunities," the Inter captain said.

"We're just getting started. We won and that's what counts. It was a game we wanted to win. When there were only 15 minutes left, the boss decided to make a triple substitution. It's true that you don't see that too often.

"Our movement was good and that was a help. Palacio and Eder were getting into the box and Jovetic was dangerous from the left. They weren't able to keep track of us.

"In two games against Pescara, I've scored six goals. It's a good average. We have Juventus coming up but first we have a Europa League match, and we need to be focused on that," Icardi concluded.
