ZANETTI KEEN TO ALIGN FOCUS ON PALERMO

"You can't underestimate any games in a competition like the Europa League but the most important match for us at the moment is on Sunday"

APPIANO GENTILE – Javier Zanetti has called for Inter to channel all their energy into Sunday's match against Palermo in the wake of today's Europa League draw.

The Nerazzurri were pitted against Sparta Prague, Southampton and Hapoel Be'er Sheva in this year's group stage on an eventful day in Milan, but while the vice president is excited about another European campaign he insists the only thing that matters now is Inter's forthcoming Serie A encounter.

"You can't underestimate any games in a competition like the Europa League," Zanetti told Inter Channel in a live phone interview. "We've ended up in a well balanced group but we're Inter and we must do well from the start. There are no easy games in Europe and you have to fully focused on each one. However, the most important game for us at the moment is Palermo on Sunday.

"At the moment we're all concentrating on Sunday's match at San Siro. The lads are working hard to bounce back after losing in Verona. Then we have the last few days of the transfer window followed by the international break."

In the meantime the Nerazzurri faifthful are preparing for the team's first appearance at the Meazza this season.

"It's our first home game and the fans will be there in their droves to get behind us because they always are," Zanetti added. "I look forward to seeing them at San Siro!"
