MILAN – While the first team are preparing for their second Serie A game of the season against Palermo, the club's academy sides are gearing up for a series of tournaments over the coming days, with their respective league campaigns not due to start until September.
Stefano Vecchi's Primavera will be playing in the fourth Mamma Cairo tournament in Alessandria this weekend They open with a semi-final against Juventus on Friday 26 August (21:00), while the third/fourth place play-off and the final will be held on Saturday 27 August.
Meanwhile Inter Under-17s are in Tuscany this weekend for the eighth Miguel Vitulano Memorial. Andrea Zanchetta's side take on Spezia in their opening Group B match on Friday 26 (18:00 kick-off), followed by Fiorentina (11:00) and Livorno (18:00) on Saturday. The finals take place on Sunday.
Matteo Lombardo's Under-16s will be in Piacenza for the 'Trofeo BFT Burzoni - Coppa Vittorino da Feltre - Memorial Pissasegola', now in its eighth edition. Inter begin with a semi-final against Atalanta at 9:45, while the final is scheduled for the afternoon.
Elsewhere Marco Mandelli's Under-15s kick off the group stage of the 27th Gaetano Scirea Memorial against Giana at 17:45. They'll then face Cremonese in their second match on Wednesday 31 August before the knockout stage begins.
Our U15 girls' team, coached by Alessandro Ruocco, will also be taking part in the Scirea Memorial from 1 September. They're in Group A with Brescia and Mozzanica.
There will also be Nerazzurri boys and girls teams at the forthcoming Quarenghi Cup. The tournament – in its 10th edition – will be running a three-way contest for U13 girls for the first time. Alessio Marelli's side are to play their Atalanta and Juventus counterparts on Sunday 28 August in San Pellegrino Terme (Bergamo).

Finally, Stefano Bellinzaghi's U14s will be taking part in the Cristina Varani Memorial in Rome next week. Inter begin against Sampdoria on Tuesday 30 August at 17:00. Valencia, Lodigiani and Sudtirol are the other teams in the Nerazzurri's group.
