TOTTENHAM V INTER IN THE SPOTLIGHT

With Friday evening’s match at Ullevaal Stadion fast approaching, we take a closer look at English side Tottenham Hotspur

MILAN – The Inter Summer Tour continues on Friday evening as the Nerazzurri take on Tottenham Hotspur at Ullevaal Stadion in the Norwegian capital of Oslo.

Inter have played Spurs on four occasions, with all four matches coming between 2010 and 2013. Thus far, the record stands at two wins apiece.

Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino is preparing for his third season as Tottenham boss, having led the North London club to an impressive third-place finish in the 2015/16 campaign behind rivals Arsenal and champions Leicester City.

The man to watch is undoubtedly Harry Kane, last season’s top scorer in the Premier League with 25 goals. That was more than Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and Leicester’s Jamie Vardy, both of whom finished up on 24.

Other notable faces within the Spurs ranks include France goalie Hugo Lloris, captain at both domestic and international level, and Erik Lamela, who joined from Serie A outfit Roma.

The match will kick off at 17:00 CEST at the 28,000-seater Ullevaal Stadion, the home of the Norwegian national team and the venue for the Norwegian Cup Final.
