HARRISON – Andrea Ranocchia assessed the first part of the Inter Summer Tour after the final whistle in the friendly against Estudiantes.
"There are no easy games, it was a good test physically as well because their frontmen were always on the last man and that's good for us defenders. Let's continue to work hard, the preparation we're doing takes a lot out of us.
"As for the big game on Saturday evening against Bayern Munich, it will be great to play against them. They're a big side with top players.
"These encounters help us to prepare for so many situations, some things went well and others not so much. We're still in the building phase and a lot of players are still in Brunico.
"I could be like a new signing, absolutely. I'm working at my game. There are a lot of matches ahead and there will be many opportunities to play, bearing in mind the Europa League as well.
"Can we compete for the top three? I don't know how high we can finish, we just need to work hard. All this talk and the transfer rumours take up so much time and energy, let's just focus on training.
"I want to stay here, I've got faith and I'm happy with how I'm working. I feel I'm making improvements and I'm looking at the future with a lot of hope."
Ranocchia signed off with a few words on Mauro Icardi and Roberto Mancini: "Mauro felt a tweak in his back and risked doing himself some damage. Like all the coaching staff, the gaffer is working for the good of Inter."
