INTER TO VISIT UNITED NATIONS

The Permanent Representative of Italy to the United Nations has invited the Nerazzurri to visit the UN during the Inter Summer Tour 2016

MILAN – Inter are set to return to the United Nations after the Permanent Representative of Italy to the United Nations invited the Nerazzurri to visit the UN to illustrate the importance of football in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The conference, which is called Inter @ UN – The power of football to change the world fostering the Sustainable Development Goals, will take place on 28 July at 13:30.

Inter have already visited the United Nations on two previous occasions, in 2012 and 2014, as a result of Inter Campus’ long-running social project and the many partnerships it has forged with UN agencies, including the UNOSDP and UNDP. This time, however, the Inter first-team squad will be present.

The club – which has always had strong moral and sporting values – firmly believes in the importance of its role in society and is delighted to take this opportunity to reaffirm its social commitments.

The event will be attended by UN officials, the Inter first team, coach Roberto Mancini and a delegation of children from Inter Campus USA.
