REAL SALT LAKE OUR OPPONENTS TONIGHT

The 2009 MLS Cup winners host Inter at Rio Tinto Stadium for the first of four pre-season friendlies in the States

SALT LAKE CITY – Inter will face off against a Major League Soccer team for only the second time in history this evening when they visit Real Salt Lake.

The Nerazzurri's first MLS opponents were Dallas FC in 2010, Diego Milito and Samuel Eto'o scoring in a 2-2 draw.

This time Inter are in Utah for a friendly match with the Royals, who currently sit in fourth place in the Western Conference.

Real Salt Lake won the MLS Cup in 2009, the same year they embarked on a record 29-match winning run at Rio Tinto Stadium – their home ground and the 20,000-seater venue for tonight's meeting.

Their star player and captain is Kyle Beckerman. The midfielder played for the USA at this summer's Copa America Centenario and was recently named in the 2016 All-Star Roster, his ninth call-up for an All-Star Game.

Details on how to get tickets for tonight's match (20:00 local time, 4:00 CEST) and Inter's other pre-season friendlies are available here.
