MILAN – The FIGC's Youth and School Sector has announced the dates for the start of the 2016/17 league season for the U15, U16 and U17 categories:
- Under 17 Serie A e B Championship (for Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie A and Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie B clubs): Sunday 4 September 2016;
- Under 17 Lega Pro Championship (for Lega Italiana Calcio Professionistico clubs): Sunday 11 September 2016;
- Under 16 Serie A e B Championship (for Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie A and Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie B clubs – footballers of at least 14 years of age but who are not yet 15 on 1 January in the year the season begins): Sunday 11 September 2016;
- Under 15 Serie A e B Championship (for Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie A and Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie B clubs): Sunday 11 September 2016;
- Under 15 Lega Pro Championship (for Lega Italiana Calcio Professionistico clubs): Sunday 11 September 2016.
