RISCONE DI BRUNICO – After captaining the Primavera team to Coppa Italia glory last season, Fabio Della Giovanna is now training with the first team in Brunico ahead of the new season.
The 19-year-old centre-back has worked all the way up through the Nerazzurri youth ranks, starting with the Pulcini.
"I was really young when I joined. The first three years were difficult but then I had coaches who showed faith in me and now it feels like a great achievement to be here. I'd like to thank all the coaches I've worked with at Inter down the years
Della Giovanna's progress was rewarded with a Serie A debut at the back end of last season, when he came on as a substitute in the game against Sassuolo.
“The other players are really good to me,” he continued. “They help me and egg me on to try and do even better. They make me feel at ease.
“I'm just focusing oin training because the first part of pre-season is the most important. Before coming here I trained a bit on my own to recover fully from a little injury I picked up towards the end of last season.”
