BEIJING – Around 280 children have attended two Inter Academy Open Day weekends in Beijing, run by Nerazzurri coaches Valerio Ringoli and Andrea Ratti.

Just a fortnight after work began in earnest, the programme is already attracting huge interest from youngsters and their families.

In the coming years, Nerazzurri coaches will oversee the training of local coaches and young students in line with the development strategy adopted by the Chinese government. And with the backing of Yihai Education, one of the most prestigious education groups in the capital, the prospects are excellent.

Aldo Montinaro, senior manager of technical operations and global youth business, has been discussing the next stages of the programme with the owners of the prestigious school, represented by Mrs Jessie Wong.

Besides moving ahead with the permanent coaching set-up, there will be an intense period of promotional activity over the coming months with Summer Camps running from mid-July to the end of August.

When the school year starts in September, Inter Academy's Barbara Biggi (director of global youth business) and Marco Monti (technical director) will help inaugurate the new season, which will initially focus on Under-7s and Under-10s. At least 300 students are expected to enrol for the first term.
