Eduardo Vargas and Alexis Sanchez each struck a double while Miguel Camargo and Abdiel Arroyo scored for Panama.
The Nerazzurri star was taken off in the 90th minute after Sanchez had notched La Roja's fourth.
Chile will go up against Mexico in the quarter-finals on Saturday night.
