SANTA CLARA – Gary Medel’s Chile side made a losing start to their Copa America campaign on Monday as they went down 2-1 to Argentina in Santa Clara.
Angel Di Maria and Ever Banega both scored to put Argentina firmly in the driving seat, and though Jose Fuenzalida pulled one back in added time it was not enough to prevent Chile from slipping to defeat in their first Group D match.
