NANJING – Inter vice president Javier Zanetti has lauded the strategic partnership between Inter and Suning Holdings Group as the beginning of something special at the club.
"The most important thing is that the wonderful history of Inter is respected," said Zanetti, speaking to Inter Channel after the press conference in Nanjing on Monday. "We hope that it is the start of a big future. We all want Inter to be great.
"This is a very important moment in the history of our club. We will all work hard in order to make Inter great again. We have some fantastic values here and that’s the only way we can aspire to the kind of future that all the fans expect. We must work together to make the fans happy."
Zanetti then spoke specifically about Suning: "They’re a very professional and competent organisation and they are really enthusiastic. It won’t be easy – we must have a common goal but everything is in place for a great future."
The Inter legend also said a few words about Massimo Moratti and Erick Thohir: "For Inter fans, Moratti represents the emotion, the heart of the club. Thohir knows that this is a huge opportunity."
