SAN TEODORO – A goal two minutes from time condemned our Giovanissimi Regionali B boys to defeat against Atalanta in the final of the 20th Manlio Selis tournament.
It ended a perfect run by Marco Sala's Under-13s in Sardinia, who had racked up straight wins in the group stage (against San Paolo Cagliari, Star Sport Olbia and Cei Palermo) then Nordsjaelland, Genoa and Juventus in the last 16, quarters and semi-final respectively to reach the final act of the youth tournament.
Inter couldn't quite finish the job in the final itself, however. De Milato set up Poku for the equaliser after Atalanta had taken the lead, but with the clock ticking down it was the Bergamo-based side that grabbed the winner, the Nerazzurri having to settle for second place.
