PINETO – Inter Under 17 Lega Pro began their cup campaign with a goalless draw at the international Mariani-Pavone Memorial Tournament.
Benoit Cauet's boys couldn't find a way past Red Star Belgrade in a hard-fought match where both sides created a couple of decent chances. Inter were presented with a golden opportunity to take the lead half an hour into the second half but Salvatore Esposito couldn't score from the penalty spot.
Inter U17s will be back out tomorrow at 17:30 CEST to play Pescara.
