PRIMAVERA GO OUT ON PENALTIES IN SEMI-FINALS

Nerazzurri U19s suffer shootout heartache after battling to a 3-3 draw with Roma over 120 minutes. Baldini sees the decisive spot kick saved

REGGIO EMILIA – Inter Primavera's Scudetto challenge ended in the semi-finals with defeat to Roma after 120 minutes, six goals and 12 penalties.

A topsy-turvy game saw Baldini score the opener before Roma turned the tables thanks to Tumminello's double either side of the interval. Rey Manaj grabbed a late equaliser to send the match to extra time and restored Inter's lead within seconds of the restart but Ponce then squared things up again at 3-3.

The game went to a shootout and after 11 perfect penalties, Crisanto kept out Baldini's spot kick to send the Giallorossi through to the final.
