REGGIO EMILIA - Stefano Vecchi was interviewed by Rai Sport and Sportitalia shortly before kick-off in this evening's Primavera championship semi-final against Roma.
"It's going to be a tough game - more difficult than when we beat them in the Coppa Italia semi-final back in January because Roma have come on since then," the Nerazzurri Under-19s' coach began, acutely aware of the task facing his side. "We've improved as well and that's down to the boys who have put their heart and soul into the cause. We've been on an exceptional run of form since January, reaching the Viareggio Cup semis, winning the Coppa Italia and now making the last four of the league.
"The strength of this group is their team spirit. We've got this far by being a tight-knit squad. We're proud of these boys - they've outdone themselves in recent months."
