MILAN – Giorgos Karagounis feels Inter are on the right path to success after last season and can only get better if the players, management and fans keep pulling in the same direction.
The former Greek midfielder, who won the Coppa Italia during a two-year spell at Inter between 2003 and 2005, was one of the many ex-Nerazzurri stars who turned out for the opening of Inter Milano Store on Friday.
"It's always great to meet old friends and team-mates, especially in such a wonderful setting as this new store," Giorgos said in an exclusive interview with Inter Channel.
He then shared his thoughts on Inter's current crop, explaining that he sees last season as a good platform to build on.
"The team dropped off in the second half of the year after making a great start but they'll be playing in the Europa League next year.
"They've put together a good core of players. What they need now is for a team to come out of it. It takes time and the fans need to support the club no matter what.
“The players, fans, management are all chasing the same targets. You have to work together if you want to achieve success."
