MODENA – Stefano Vecchi was able to celebrate a semi-final place for his Primavera boys at the end of a spectacular game of football in the Final Eight.
"Anything can happen when you play these games," Vecchi said to Sportitalia. "We found it tough against Palermo in the semi-final of the Viareggio Cup and it was the same today. They are a balanced side with quality in attack, but once again we brought our own attributes to bear.
"We pulled ourselves back level three times and we won on penalties. That means we have substantial character which is how we've made it this far.
"If we'd been more clinical in putting away our chances, we'd be talking about a different outcome.
"As for whether we'd prefer Roma or Virtus Entella in the next game, it doesn't change anything for us because it's on the pitch that everything is decided and the name of the opponent we're facing doesn't matter. We just need to think about resting up because we put a lot into this game, then we'll see who we're up against."
