APPIANO GENTILE - Having finished top in the regular season, Stefano Vecchi's Primavera today learned who they will face in the competition's Final Eight. Inter will play Giovanni Bosi's Palermo in the quarter-finals: "It's a chance for us to avenge our Viareggio Cup semi-final defeat," the Nerazzurri coach told Inter Channel. "We know Palermo very well and we hope to give ourselves the best chance of progressing.
"We'll have to give everything, just as this team always have. If we've got this far, it's because we have a group of lads who have always given 100%. We face strong opposition and that's why we have to avoid mistakes in the game.
"When everything comes down to one week, matches become more or less the same level. Of our four possible opponents, perhaps Torino and Palermo were the most dangerous in the pot but if you want to go all the way you have to win of course. There are three games to play and we're ready. We're applying the finishing touches to our recent preparations and we'll try to go into Friday's match making the most of our ability and freshness.
"I expect my players to give everything, just as they have until now, proving once again what a strong and united squad we are."
