FLORENCE – Inter Giovanissimi Regionali B have won the Niccolo Galli Memorial Cup for the third straight year after a 2-1 win over Fiorentina in the final.
After wins against Empoli and Lucchese and a draw against Atlanta, the Nerazzurri beat Roma 3-2 in the fourth game of the group stages on Sunday morning to book their place in the final.
Marco Sala’s boys made no mistake in the final, defeating Fiorentina by two goals to one. It was an extra special moment for Inter youngster Elio Zalli, who was named best defender at the tournament.
