MILAN – Women's football was on the agenda at the Centro Sportivo Giacinto Facchetti this morning as five U12 teams faced off in the inter-regional phase of the 16th Danone Nations Cup, a prestigious international tournament in youth football.
Marco Recchia's Inter were also involved and the young Nerazzurri girls got the ball rolling with a win against Brescia, followed up by a loss against Atalanta and then two draws in the afternoon versus Azalee and Verona.
The nationwide phase of the tournament has been scheduled for 11-12 June as part of the 8th Grassroots Festival at the national team's training ground in Coverciano, Florence.
