REGGIO EMILIA – Felipe Melo has shared his thoughts with Inter Channel following the Nerazzurri's loss to Sassuolo.
"We didn't deserve to concede three goals in the first half. Right now I want to talk about the improvement Inter have made. Let's go on holiday thinking about how we can do better next year.
"We definitely have to think ahead to next season. We're playing in Europe again and next year we want to get back into the Champions League and try to win for ourselves and the fans.
"We're working every day but there is room for even more improvement.
"Analysing the season as a whole, I think we've done OK against our rivals. It's a shame that we haven't put in the same performances against the small teams as we have done against the big teams."
Finally, Felipe Melo also had a word to say on Danilo D'Ambrosio's disallowed goal: "If the ref was convinced he would have let his first decision stand. It's a shame because we would have got back into the game."
