SALERNO – The Berretti have all but guaranteed their spot in the final of the championship playoffs after thrashing Salernitana 5-1 away in the semi-final first leg.
Inter actually made a poor start to the game and went behind in the second minute. Nevertheless, Loris Vago quickly replied with a superb goal from distance.
Salvatore Cerrone's players got into their rhythm and had a two-goal lead at the break thanks to a double from Alessandro Bollini.
The Nerazzurri ran away with it in the second half with strikes from Matias Antonini, Andrea Maggioni and Vago again from the penalty spot.
Inter play the second leg at the Centro Sportivo Giacinto Facchetti on Sunday 22 May.
