MILAN – Stefano Vecchi has called for his Inter Primavera side to keep working hard to ensure they go into the Final Eight stage of the season in the best shape possible.
"We’ve achieved our objective, which was to secure top spot, avoid injuries and suspensions and give some playing time to those that had played less, because we’ll need everyone in the Final Eight stage," Vecchi told Inter Channel after his side’s 2-1 victory over Perugia.
The win meant the young Nerazzurri won Group B, securing the highest points total of any side in the country. Vecchi, however, is keen for his side not to rest on their laurels.
"Last year we had some big absentees, so this year I hope we have a full squad available. The lads were able to get some rest after the win over AC Milan, so now we’re working hard to make sure we’re at 100% for the Final Eight stage."
