SAN BONIFACIO – Benoit Cauet’s Inter U17 Lega Pro side beat Bassano Virtus 55 2-0 on Thursday in their first match at the San Bonifacio Cup.
After a low-key first half, Inter took the lead in the 52nd minute after Pelle fired home following some good link-up play with Merola. The Nerazzurri made it two on the hour mark, Merola turning goalscorer with a lovely strike.
Inter will now take on Atalanta in their second match of the group stages on Friday at 18:30 CEST.
