MILAN – Inter U19s made sure of their place in the Final Eight with a 2-0 win over AC Milan in Vismara this evening.
Enrico Baldini put the Nerazzurri in front shortly before the interval following a neat exchange of passes with Rey Manaj but the Rossoneri were immediately handed the chance to level when the ref awarded them a penalty. Inter goalie Radu stepped to brilliantly deny Vido from 12 yards and see Stefano Vecchi's side take a goal lead in at half-time.
The hosts were reduced to 10 men at the start of the second half when Livieri brought down Manaj after the Albanian striker had been played in on goal by Correia's lovely through ball. That made Inter's task somewhat easier but despite a host of chances they were unable to grab the second goal.
Then, with three minutes of normal time remaining, Manaj made way for Andrea Pinamonti and it was all the time the 16-year-old needed to make his mark on the game, as his 90th-minute tap-in sealed the points.
