PERISIC TO INTERNOS: "INTER ARE SOMETHING SPECIAL"

Croatian forward tells Inter Channel: "It's an honour to be here. We're a young team and we've already made progress"

APPIANO GENTILE - Ivan Perisic is the guest on today's edition of InterNos. The Croatian answered the fans' questions on Inter Channel: "Inter is a big step in my career. They're a big club and I'll do my best to perform well here."

After taking a little while not only to get used to Italian football but also to get to grips with life in a new country, Perisic has settled brilliantly: "I really like Italy and Inter. When I was a kid I used to watch several leagues and I knew the names of all the greats that have played for this club. Italy is a gorgeous country and I really like it."

A question on his future ahead of this summer's transfer window: "I've got a five-year contract and I'm coming to the end of the first, which means I still have four to run. You never know in football though but if someone were interested they'd need to talk to Inter."

The wide man believes Inter can and must continue to develop: "The fans would like to see Inter winning trophies like in 2010. We're a young team and we've made progress. Lots of new players joined this year so we need a bit of time to develop further.

"What matters is the team winning. Even if I only managed to score once or twice all season, if the team won the league title, I'd still be happy."

We also got to know what Ivan gets up to off the pitch: "At the start obviously I used to spend more time with the players who speak my language but I've settled in well with everyone. It's important to have a good rapport off the pitch so you can perform well in matches. I now room with Brozovic. I follow a number of other sports - volleyball and tennis for instance. I play sport for fun in my free time and when I'm on holiday."

Finally, he looked back to the day he joined Inter: "Talks went on a while. I did everything I could to move here. It was special when you meet the great former players waiting for you. It was like a dream. Now I want to give everything for this club and I hope Inter can go back to the top.

"Not many players can represent a big club like Inter, so it's an honour to wear these colours. I have to work hard on a daily basis, never be satisfied and keep training to improve."

The full interview will be shown tonight at 21:00 on Inter Channel.
