APPIANO GENTILE – Inter Primavera captain Fabio Della Giovanna has urged his team-mates to do everything they can at beat AC Milan and qualify for the Final Eight stage when they do battle on Friday evening at 18:00 CET.
"We’re expecting them to fight until the very end and we want to do the same because if we win we’ll qualify for the Final Eight stage," Della Giovanna told Sportitalia on Thursday.
"The derby is not just any old game – it’s an historic match. We’re top of the table and we can’t afford to make mistakes."
Della Giovanna also cleared up any doubts about his fitness going into the game: "Physically I’m fine. I had a sore knee against Udinese which meant I couldn’t finish the game, but it’s better now."
"I think I’ve had a good season, even though I’ve not played as much as I expected to due to fitness issues. In any case, we need to wait until the end of the season before taking stock."
