FRANCAVILLA FONTANA – Marco Mandelli’s Giovanissimi Regionali side secured top spot in their group at the 20th Giovani Speranze Cup on Sunday to set up a semi-final clash with Torino.
The Nerazzurri youngsters crushed Lecce 6-0 in their first match on Sunday, Barazzetta netting a hat-trick in addition to a Tordini brace and a Goffi strike. And there was further success after lunch, as Mandelli’s side stuck four past Real Virtus Grottaglie with no reply: Tordini bagged another brace, while Essan and D’Isidoro secured the eventual 4-0 win.
Inter will now face Torino in the semi-finals at 11:00 CET on Monday morning. The final will be played at 19:00 CET on Monday.
