GENOA – Dejan Stankovic is under no illusions that Inter’s away match at Genoa on Wednesday is the first in a vital run of games for the Nerazzurri.
"We can’t slip up after the great performance against Napoli. It would be great if we can prove that we’re a well-organised team that can rise to the big occasions. This is a vital run of games for us to keep believing in what it not an impossible objective," began Stankovic.
"When you play for a big club everyone expects results straight away. We’ve changed a lot in building this team and we need time, but I hope we continue the way we have been," he continued.
Finally, Stankovic commented on the Totti situation: "It’s nothing. He’ll always be a legend for Roma and for Italian football. Every has to do what works for them – I hope it finishes well for all concerned."
