GENOA V INTER STAT PACK

Final midweek round of the campaign. All the numbers you need ahead of the match at Marassi

MILAN - We've barely had a chance to catch our breath following Saturday's win over Napoli yet Serie A is back for a midweek round. The Nerazzurri travel to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris tonight to meet Genoa.

Here are some statistics ahead of the game, courtesy of Opta.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS

Inter are just one victory shy of 50 wins against Genoa in Serie A. The Rossoblu have won 19 of their total meetings, with 29 ending level.

The Nerazzurri have won three and lost two of their previous five against Genoa. The home side has prevailed in each of those fixtures.

Genoa have failed to find the net in nine of their last 15 against Inter, while Inter have hit five on three occasions.

The most common scorelines between these two sides are 0-0, 1-1 and 1-0 to Inter, finishing that way on 11 occasions.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS IN GENOA

The teams have met 48 times in Genoa. The Grifone have won 15 to the Nerazzurri's 14, with the remaining 19 ending in draws.

Having taken just two points from six matches against Inter at the Marassi, Genoa have won the last two against the Nerazzurri at home.

The Rossoblu produced four goals in those two games, after having gone five without scoring.

CURRENT FORM

Genoa haven't drawn in their previous nine. The last time one of their matches finished level was a goalless stalemate against Lazio on 6 February. Genoa have won five and lost four in the intervening period.

The Grifone have scored in their last six matches, although they followed up back-to-back clean sheets by conceding four against Carpi.

The Rossoblu have won each of their last four home matches and are unbeaten in seven in front of their own fans (five wins, two draws). Their last home loss came on 5 January in the derby against Sampdoria.

Inter have scored in 10 of their last 11 league games.

The Nerazzurri have won four of their last six. A draw against Roma and a defeat to Torino the two remaining matches in the sequence.

Inter have returned to winning ways on their travels, having taken just three points (three draws) from their previous half a dozen away matches.

GENERAL STATISTICS

Only AC Milan and Verona (8) have scored more goals from corners than Inter (7). While only Carpi have found the net from fewer than Genoa (1).

Only Lazio (216) have won more corners in Serie A than Inter (208) this term.

The Nerazzurri have the third best backline in the division (30 against). Only Juventus (8) have conceded fewer than Inter (10) in the first halves of matches.

No side in Serie A has scored more own goals than Genoa. Grifone players have conspired to put through their net on three occasions this season.

The Rossoblu have conceded the highest number of goals (12) in the last 15 minutes of matches.

Inter have never come from behind to win in the league this season. Genoa, meanwhile, have turned three games around. Only Juventus (5), Napoli and Torino (both 4) can better that.

PLAYER STATISTICS

Leonardo Pavoletti's effort against Carpi ended his six-match goal drought, his longest dry spell in Serie A since he's been at the club. Pavoletti leads the way for headed goals (4) in the Italian top flight, along with Eros Pisano.

Mauro Icardi has been involved in each of Inter's last four league goals, scoring three and providing the other one for Marcelo Brozovic. With goals in his last three matches, the Argentine has struck seven in his last 10. Icardi comes to life against Genoa. He scored his first ever goal in Serie A against the Grifone (in the derby for Sampdoria in November 2012) and has three from five meetings with the Rossoblu, including two in his last two.

Adem Ljajic bagged the winner in the reverse fixture. The Serb has found the net just once (against Palermo) in 15 appearances since then.

It's a special fixture for Eder, the striker who joined Inter in January from Genoa's great rivals Sampdoria. The Italy international has scored three times in seven matches against Genoa (all derbies).

Luca Rigoni has found the net three times - all at home -  since moving to Genoa. Whenever he scores, the Rossoblu win.

Blerim Dzemaili has been involved in three of Genoa's last four goals. The Swiss has one goal and two assists from his last three appearances.

Suso, the only player other than Kalinic to score a hat-trick this season, has scored four times for Genoa, all at Marassi.

Nicolas Burdisso made his Serie A debut for Inter. He made 93 appearances and scored four times for the Nerazzurri in the league.

Rodrigo Palacio meets his former employers. He struck 35 goals in 90 Serie A matches for Genoa.

Goran Pandev, meanwhile, had a spell with the Nerazzurri. The Macedonian scored five league goals in 45 games at Inter.

Inter brought Diego Laxalt into Italian football but the Uruguayan failed to feature during his time in Milan.

Jonathan Biabiany's first goal in Serie A came against Genoa for Parma on 6 December 2009.

Danilo D'Ambrosio is set to make his 50th league appearance for Inter.

Yuto Nagatomo loves playing the Grifone. His three league goals from six matches make the Rossoblu his favourite victim.

COACHES

Gian Piero Gasperini prepares to meet Inter for the 13th time in his coaching career. His record reads: won two, drawn three, lost seven.

Gasperini also had a brief spell in the Inter dugout. He oversaw two losses and a draw in the league in 2011.

Roberto Mancini has won three, drawn one and lost one against Genoa in Serie A.

Mancini and Gasperini have met on five occasions. Mancio has won three, drawn one and lost one.

REFEREE AND DISCIPLINE

Only Napoli (394) have committed fewer fouls than Inter (448) yet only Atalanta (13) have had more red cards than the Nerazzurri (10) and Genoa (9).

Massimiliano Irrati is set to take charge of his 54th match in Serie A, his 15th this season.

Genoa have won three of their five matches officiated by Mr Irrati (1D, 1L).

Inter's two meetings with Irrati this season both came with Torino as the opposition (1W, 1L).
