MANCINI: "WE HAVE TO FIGHT UNTIL THE END"

Nerazzurri coach post-match: "All of the lads played well tonight. There are still a number of points to play for, we'll see where we are come 15 May'

MILAN - It was special night for Roberto Mancini, rightly delighted with his side's flawless performance: "Napoli began moving the ball very well early on but in the end we deserved to win. They caused us a few problems and we struggled to get out. But all the lads played well, particularly in the first 20-25 minutes. When Kondogbia pushed further forward, we didn't have big problems. We're still growing as a team, we're fully focused in the big games, whereas in others perhaps our focus drops and we make mistakes. That's all part of the process."

Was that Inter's best performance of the season?
"I don't know but we played excellently. The lads did very well, just as they have on other occasions. Icardi is young but players can improve even beyond their 30th birthday and Mauro's a lot younger than that. He scores goals and he's someone who consistently finds the net. If we are to have regrets about our league position, it won't be until the end of the campaign. There's still a month to go and we have to try and give everything."

The defence have kept back-to-back clean sheets.
"Napoli are very good in possession and the fact we afforded them so few chances means the defence and midfield played very well. All of the players are a bit up and down. Kondogbia has great ability and he needs time to get used to Italian football just like all great players who join from abroad."

Jovetic and Icardi linked up well.
"Stevan and Mauro might have done better at certain times during the season and they can play together because of the attributes they have. They did well today, like they have on other occasions. Sometimes they haven't played as well together."

Tonight's victory moves Inter's to within three points of Roma in third place: "There are still plenty of points to play for, we have to fight and we'll see where we are come 15 May. At times you do drop points and overall I think we're on the right track. Unfortunately we've let too many points slip but that's part of football. We've gone through some tough times, we had a bad run albeit with some undeserved results."
