FROSINONE V INTER STAT PACK

Here are all the stats ahead of today's 15:00 CET kick-off at the Stadio Matusa in Week 32 of Serie A 2015/16

MILAN – Roberto Mancini's Nerazzurri face an away trip against Frosinone this afternoon as this season enters Week 32.

In collaboration with Opta, we've compiled these statistics on the fixture:

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Inter's 4-0 victory in the reverse fixture was Frosinone's joint-heaviest defeat in Serie A, along with the 5-1 against Napoli and the 4-0 against Genoa last time out.

Inter had ten shots on target in that game, more than the Nerazzurri have managed in any other game this season.

FORM GUIDE

Frosinone have lost the most matches out of every team in Serie A this season – 18.

Only two teams have stayed up in Serie A since three points were awarded for a win after losing at least 18 of their first 31 games: Chievo Verona and Sassuolo in 2013/14.

Frosinone haven't conceded at home in five of their last six league fixtures and have gone 270 minutes since picking the ball out of their net from Paulo Dybala's strike in the match against Juventus.

Compared to their poor away form, Frosinone are a totally different side at home: Roberto Stellone's men have actually picked up 22 of their 27 points this season at the Stadio Matusa (81.5%).

Inter haven't won away from home since 6 January and have taken home just three points in their last six away league fixtures.

Since November, Roberto Mancini's team have only managed more efforts on goal than the opposition once in their last ten games away from home: against Hellas Verona at the Stadio Bentegodi.

GENERAL STATS

This contest pits the third-best defence in Serie A – Inter have leaked just 30 goals – against the worst. Frosinone have let in 59 strikes from 632 attempts on their goal.

Inter haven't recorded a goalless draw in 23 outings – the longest run without this result among Serie A teams. Frosinone's three 0-0 draws in Serie A have all come at home in 2016.

Frosinone have conceded more goals (37) than every other side in Serie A. Meanwhile, ten of the last 11 goals Inter have conceded came after half-time.

Leonardo Blanchard and his defensive partners have conceded nine goals from outside the area in open play this season – joint-bottom with Lazio.

Frosinone have the worst percentage of shots on target (35%) and the worst chance-conversion rate (10%) in Serie A this season.

Only nine different Frosinone players have got their names on the scoresheet in 2015/16 – joint-bottom in Serie A with Udinese.

Inter are tied with AC Milan and Chievo Verona as the teams who have scored the most goals from corners (seven).

Only Lazio have had more corners than Inter: 204 for the Biancocelesti, 196 for the Nerazzurri.

Frosinone have completed the fewest passes in Serie A this season – 9549. They and Carpi also share the worst passing accuracy, with only 69% of passes finding their target.

Inter have used the fewest Italian players this season – four.

On the contrary, 26 of Frosinone's 29 goals have come from Italians, amounting to 90% - a record this season. Only Fiorentina (one) have scored fewer goals through Italians than Inter (two) in 2015/16.

Both Frosinone and Inter struggle to salvage points from losing situations. The former have recovered only two from a possible 20, both draws, while Inter have bagged three points from a possible 11 after being down on the scoreboard, again all draws.

PLAYER FOCUS

Mauro Icardi is perched on 99 appearances and 49 goals for Inter across all competitions.

Daniel Ciofani and Icardi are fifth and sixth respectively for headed efforts on goal this year – 16 and 15 overall. Frosinone's target man has turned this into two goals, while our Mauro is yet to score with his head in 2015/16.

Among attackers who have touched the ball at least 150 times, Icardi needs the most time (3.28 minutes) to receive the ball just once. Daniel Ciofani is in third place for this ranking on 3.03 minutes.

Only Gonzalo Higuain and Miralem Pjanic on four have struck the woodwork more often than Icardi (three) this season.

Eder spent a year and a half at Frosinone – from January 2008 to May 2009 – registering 20 goals in 51 appearances in Serie B before making his return to Empoli.

Adem Ljajic notched two of his three assists for the season in the reverse match earlier this season against Frosinone. They were his last assists this year: the Serbian has only been involved in one goal in the last 15 games, hitting the back of the net against Palermo.

Ivan Perisic has three goals in his last four appearances: the Croatian had the same number of goals in 24 games previously.

Only Fiorentina's Matias Vecino (42) and Bologna's Saphir Taider (32) have had more attempts on goal than Aleksandar Tonev (31).

No defender in any of Europe's top-five leagues has supplied more assists than Daniel Pavlovic (five). In Italy he's also the defender who has created the most shooting opportunities for team-mates in Serie A with 36, despite the fact he's only played 19 out of a possible 31 fixtures.

Leonardo Blanchard has made 48 blocks on opposition shots – more than any other defensive player in Europe's top-five leagues and 19 more than the second-best defender in Serie A.

Miranda is ruled out of this afternoon's game through suspension: with the Brazilian on the pitch Inter win more often – 51.9% compared to 50% – but the Nerazzurri haven't lost any of the four games when he's been missing this year, picking up two wins and two draws.

Federico Dionisi is also missing through suspension. The striker has had a hand in three of Frosinone's last six goals – two goals and an assist. Frosinone score a goal per game when he's playing, compared to 0.5 goals a game when he is missing.

This afternoon pits the goalkeeper who has made the second-highest number of saves (Nicola Leali, 113) against the keeper who has made the fourth-highest (Samir Handanovic, 97). The Slovenian is second in the rankings for save-percentage – 77%.

Since he joined Frosinone, Oliver Kragl has shot to the top of his team's ranking for average number of shots not including blocks: one effort every 32 minutes of game time.

Despite only coming on the pitch two minutes from the end, Marcelo Brozovic scored Inter's fourth against Frosinone on his first substitute appearance in Serie A.

In the fixture earlier on this season, Jonathan Biabiany broke a scoring drought going back to May 2014. It is the Frenchman's only goal in Serie A so far this season.

Jeison Murillo also scored in that game: the Colombian defender's first Serie A goal.

Samuele Longo made his debut in Serie A wearing the Inter shirt in May 2012 against Lazio – his only appearance for the Nerazzurri in the top flight.

COACHES

Roberto Stellone and Roberto Mancini have crossed paths just once before – in the reverse fixture in November won 4-0 by Inter.

Stellone faced the Nerazzurri six times as a player in Serie A, ending up on the losing side five times and drawing once in Inter 1-1 Torino in February 2009.

REFEREE AND DISCIPLINE

Paolo Tagliavento is taking charge of his 188th game in Serie A and his 13th this season. He has given two penalties, showed 52 yellow cards and sent three players off all for second bookable offences in 2015/16.

Inter have been officiated by Tagliavento 25 times. Only Roma have had this referee more often in Serie A (31). The Nerazzurri's record with Tagliavento in the middle reads 15 wins, four draws and six losses.

Manicini's Inter have recorded two wins and as many draws on the road in Serie A with Tagliavento in charge.

Today's match official has given seven penalties against Inter in the top flight, more than any other team.

Frosinone have come across the ref from Terni on just one occasion, losing 5-1 at home against Napoli in January.

Frosinone have received just one red card all season, fewer than any other team. Inter are already on ten, second only to Atalanta with 12.

SUSPENSIONS:

Frosinone: Dionisi (one game)
Inter: Miranda (one game), Nagatomo (one game)

ONE BOOKING AWAY FROM SUSPENSION:

Frosinone: Ajeti, Gori
Inter: Handanovic, Kondogbia, Medel, Telles.
