MILAN - The Nerazzurri Under-17s fared well with their respective national teams in the Elite Round of the European championship. Zinho Vanheusden captained all three of Belgium's matches against Slovenia (0-0), Israel (1-0) and Spain (0-0 aet, 4-3 on penalties), while Xian Emmers also featured for a total of 49 minutes, as they secured top spot in Group 8.
Italy have also booked their place in Azerbaijan. Andrea Pinamonti played 135 minutes for Alessandro Dal Canto's Italy, scoring in their 4-0 win over Russia. Luca Kerin played every minute of Slovenia's matches against Belgium (0-0), Spain (0-0) and Israel (1-1). Despite finishing unbeaten, they were unable to progress.
