ROME – Danilo D'Ambrosio praised his team-mates' collective efforts in the post-match breakdown of Roma v Inter.
"Roma are a quality side that play attractive football," the Italian declared to Inter Channel. "We got the measure of them early on and I think we played well.
"We're a bit disappointed at how the goal came about, following an error from Edin Dzeko. We put in a positive performance tonight, bearing in mind that Roma have picked up win after win in recent months."
D'Ambrosio paid particular attention to the superb defensive performance against an attacking trio renowned for their pace and technique. "They're very fluid up front and also in central midfield.
"We prepared well for them, everyone did a shift for the team and we showed that we're a match for any outfit."
Finally, the Nerazzurri full-back believes third place is still on the cards: "If we play as we did today, it's within our grasp."
