ARCO DI TRENTO – Inter's Under 17 Serie A e B side have kicked off their campaign in the 45th edition of the Beppe Viola Città di Arco Cup with a 2-2 draw against the Lega Pro Select XI.
Inter took just two minutes to take with lead through Pio Francesco Russo who pounced after a mistake from the goalie. The lead only lasted for a further two minutes, however, as the Lega Pro XI equalised. The scoreline remained the same until half-time despite the Nerazzurri boasting the lion's share of territory.
Gianmario Corti's lads began the second half on the front foot but conceded after 15 minutes when the opposition took advantage of a mix-up on a corner. Inter's insistence was nevertheless rewarded on the half-hour mark when Nicolo Vai drew the teams level with a wonderful shot from 20 yards.
Inter face another test tomorrow against Chievo Verona, kick-off at 15:00 CET.
